Curious Puppetry returns to the Rosemary Branch Theatre for the 5th annual Curious Puppets Festival!
An evening of short puppet films and a talk, with film, by Emily Morus-Jones.
The Greatest Plans o’ Muppets and Men...A feminist puppeteer and filmmaker does geeky Dave Gorman-style stand-up in this comedy lecture contemplating the place of unfinished experiences in an artist’s evolution. Emily Morus-Jones explores the trials and tribulations of trying to make a film when your workmates can’t be trusted, or when there’s a plague locking down the entire world, or when you simply have no idea what you're doing. Weird. Welsh. Woman.
Emily Morus-Jones is a Welsh writer, director, puppeteer, and puppet-maker for film, TV, theatre, and live events. She began performing puppets on the BBC/Sesame Workshop production The Furchester Hotel and trained at the Curious School of Puppetry. She has performed in numerous high-profile productions and advertising campaigns, working with clients such as Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, and Dua Lipa, as well as shows for CBBC, Sky1, Channel 4, Netflix, and ITV.Her first short film Diomysus: More than Monogamy was funded by Ffilm Cymru/BBC Wales’ first-time filmmaker scheme. It was broadcast on BBC3, Iplayer, Channel 4, and Film 4, and won 12 awards internationally.

Seating is not socially distanced. The theatre is ventilated before
and after every performance with regular and thorough cleaning of
touch points. Hand sanitiser and face masks are available
onsite.
Access
We regret that our theatre is up a flight of stairs with no
wheelchair access available.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
